Job description

As a Solutions Architect, you will design scalable, resilient, and maintainable enterprise solutions with a strong focus on Java and the Spring ecosystem. You will work closely with engineering, product, and business teams to translate requirements into robust technical architectures.

Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end architectures for Java-based enterprise applications.

  • Define scalable and resilient distributed systems using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and REST APIs.

  • Design microservices, service-oriented, and event-driven architectures.

  • Define integration solutions using APIs, messaging, event streaming, SOA, EAI, and EDA.

  • Provide architectural guidance to development teams and promote modern engineering practices.

  • Evaluate technology options based on scalability, security, performance, complexity, and maintainability.

  • Support solution design throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Communicate architectural decisions and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Job requirements

Required Technical & Professional Expertise

  • Several years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Software Architect, or ICT Architect in enterprise environments.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Java and modern software design principles.

  • Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and the broader Spring ecosystem.

  • Proven experience designing microservices, distributed systems, APIs, and integration solutions.

  • Experience with service- and event-driven architectures, including SOA, EAI, and EDA.

  • Good understanding of cloud-native architecture, containers, observability, and modern deployment practices.

  • Experience working in agile environments, ideally with SAFe.

  • Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Fluency in German and English.
